Charlie Atkins (HT2) 71-74  provided this Webmaster with some digitized Super 8mm movies, and we added some text to introduce certain portions of the movies, so the viewer would have a better understanding of the events, as they unfold rather quickly.  So through our joint effort, we have something truely special for all our shipmates to enjoy.  We have Charlie's Boot Camp Graduation in 1970, and 4 reels of film from the 1972 WESTPAC cruise that Charlie & I sailed on.

Your computer needs Adobe Flash Player installed in it to view movies on YouTube.  Install it only if the movies won't already play for you.  Click here to go to, and install ADOBE FLASH.

YouTube is a part of Google and is likely to be around for many years, but if you want to download these movies to your computer to put on a DVD/CD yourself, the following will help you to do this:

To download movies from YouTube you can copy the URL (the address: http://www.something.com) of the particular video that apears in the narrow window near the top of your browser and paste it into an online converter, such as VIXY.NET.  It might not "take" the first time & you will have to try again, but it does work.  Just follow the instructions that come up on the page.  The video you download will be 320x240 pixels. 
YouTube's viewer makes it appear larger.  We cannot offer online help to to shipmates to download videos, 
so if you're not too "computer savvy", please ask a friend or relative who is local, to help you.

Also, this Webmaster is already aware that these YouTube videos could be embedded in our website.
Mo-Net has been providing us with free webspace, so I've chosen not to do this, as doing so might
cause us to use more bandwidth on their servers.
